30 years across sales and marketing. I built my own playbook the hard way — deal by deal, mistake by mistake. Now I help others build theirs faster.
I've spent more than 30 years in sales and marketing — from retail floors to B2B, and eventually to a 26-year career in a highly specialized industry where I've been responsible for both driving sales and leading marketing strategy. Not through a formal training program or a sales certification. Through trial, error, repetition, and a lot of honest self-reflection.
Nobody handed me a playbook. I built one — slowly, deal by deal, campaign by campaign, conversation by conversation. I learned what actually moves people to say yes, how to build a pipeline that doesn't dry up, how to craft messaging that connects, and how to align sales and marketing so they actually work together. Everything I teach comes from things I've personally done and tested in the real world.
That's what I bring to every coaching engagement and every product I create. Not a textbook framework. Not someone who learned sales by teaching it. Someone who spent decades in the field, made the mistakes, course-corrected, and built something that actually worked — and can now help you do the same, faster.
I'm based in Huntsville, Alabama — but I work virtually with individuals and small businesses anywhere. If you're in sales and you're serious about getting better, I'd love to connect.
"Sales isn't a talent. It's a skill. And skills can be built — at any stage, at any level."
— Barton EbyFour things that shape every coaching engagement and every product I put my name on.
If I teach it, I've done it. Every framework, every technique, every script comes from real deals, real clients, and real results — not from a certification program or someone else's playbook I repackaged.
No two sales challenges are the same. Neither are any two coaching engagements. What we work on, how we work on it, and the pace we move at — all of it is built around your specific situation and goals.
Good coaching means telling you what you need to hear, not just what you want to. I'd rather give you useful, direct feedback than comfortable agreement. That's where real growth happens.
The only thing that matters at the end of a coaching engagement is whether you're selling better. That's how I keep score — not by the number of sessions completed or frameworks covered.
Whether you want one-on-one coaching or a proven set of AI tools you can put to work today — there's a path here for you.
